Malika Moore founded Aging & Amazing, LLC to provide support to Aging & Amazing Adults, Caregivers, and Professionals through innovative and engaging education and consultation etc. With more than 10 years of experience as a professional, clinician, and business owner Malika champions for older adults and caregivers. She has obtained valuable experience in working in behavioral health, community, education, and healthcare to her first-hand experience and strategies in serving the aging population, caregivers, and professionals specializing in aging. Her experience includes the roles of adjunct faculty, clinician, geriatric care management, medical social worker, psychotherapist, and support group facilitator. Notable agencies Malika has served include Iona Senior Services, Catholic University to name a few. 

Malika brings creativity, experience, and passion to the most vulnerable and has worked in clinical settings with all age demographics and socioeconomic backgrounds. She has served in various leadership roles and enjoys uplifting and inspiring through motivational speaking and innovative strategies.

A. Faye Boykin-Calhoun

Not only is A. Faye an Elocution Consultant at Auburn University’s Center for Educational Outreach and Engagement (CEOE), she is actively involved in Toastmasters International, where she was inducted into the 2007 Toastmasters International Speakers Hall of Fame. A. Faye graduated with honors in Social Work from Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University), and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. A. Faye is a wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, communicator, listener, activist, advocate,  and counselor.

Pauline E. Azore, RN, MA

Pauline E. Azore RN, became a Registered Nurse in 1980.  She went on to obtain an BS Degree in Health Care Administration from Columbia University and her Graduate Degree in Community Health Promotion and Counseling from Trinity University.  She became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) in 1996.  She is also a Certified CPR instructor.  Pauline worked in a Level 111 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for almost three decades at the Washington Hospital Center.   She served as a staff nurse, Clinical Manager and Head Nurse.  Pauline has worked for several years in Long Term Care Facilities including in the role of Director of Education at the Carolyn Boone Lewis Health Care Center and Rehab Facility for three years.  She is currently employed as a nursing instructor.  Teaching is Pauline’s passion.  She was an Adjunct Professor in the Nursing Department at the University of the District of Columbia and taught classes in Childbirth Education, Newborn Care in several hospitals including St. Agnes hospital in Baltimore and the Washington Hospital Center.  Her skill set teaches others to thrive in every area of their professional and personal lives.

Pauline was born in Guyana, South America.  She migrated to Canada in 1970 and lived in Kitchener Ontario and then Montreal Quebec for two years before coming to the USA in 1972.  

She truly enjoys serving in whatever capacity her services are needed. Her inspiration and wisdom are always felt when you come in contact with her accompanied with a great sense of humor. Pauline loves to cook and bake for her family and friends.  Pauline firmly believes that a stellar education is the key to success, especially in minority communities. She is committed to doing her part to impact and enrich the lives of as many individuals as she possibly can through education and mentoring. 

She and her husband are the parents of an adult son and daughter and grandparents of an adoring grandson who is the joy of their lives.  She is an active member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in New Carrollton, MD where she currently serves as the Senior Warden.  

Melva Meade,  MSW, LICSW, LCSW-C

Melva Major Meade is a career social work professional with practice experience exceeding 25 years of commitment and service.   Ms. Meade has worked extensively within the areas of gerontology, child welfare, training and program administration. This work has been in the private and public sectors in Massachusetts, Maryland and the District of Columbia.   Professional experience has included affiliation with multiple  schools of social work as a field practicum instructor and advisory liaison participant.

Melva is a George Washington Center for Aging Master Faculty Scholar and has a certificate of completion from the Hartford NASW Initiative -Supervisory Leader in Aging.- Professional activities have included participation on multidisciplinary ethics and practices panels, training development committees and practice consultation.  She has been a trainer with the  former Caribbean Mental Health Project providing consultation and training resources.

She received her master’s degree in social work from Boston University School of Social Work and bachelor’s degree from (HBCU) North Carolina Central University.

Ms. Meade’s early training was supported by a multi-year National Institute of Mental Health grant in gerontology designed to support social work education.

Ms. Meade is a  native Washingtonian and is active within her church and professional public service organizations. She dedicates her life to serving others, continued learning, and uplifting everyone she encounters.

Jeannine Crooks-Price, MSW, LICSW, LCSW-C

Jeannine Crooks-Price is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the District of Columbia and Maryland.  With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare with emphasis on supporting older adults and caregivers in long-term care settings. Jeannine leads in upper management  with integrity and a graceful presence. She  has a wide range of knowledge and is well-versed in the totality of long-term care settings and has helped many social workers move on to advance their careers, as good leaders do. Aging & Amazing’s Founder, Malika, continues to be mentored and guided in the healthcare field with Jeannine’s unwavering support.

Jeannine is a leader that believes in walking beside her team in the journey to successful practice and aging in a meaningful way. She relies on her clinical experience and evidence-based practices to enhance and empower the lives of older adults and caregivers.Her extensive knowledge of discharge planning in a fast-paced settings and knowledge of community resources has provided both patients and families with the necessary resources needed to navigate the sometimes complex discharge planning needs.Jeannine enjoys working with the most underrepresented and disenfranchised populations. 

Her genuine love and passion for making a difference and meeting clients where they are, is her mission throughout her Social Work Career. Jeannine enjoys basking in the simple joys of life, such as a nice vacation or massage. Her biggest accomplishment and pride is being a mother to her only son, Jordan. 

John Brice, LNHA
Administrator

John Brice, LHNA, has been serving and leading in the healthcare industry for over 15 years as a Nursing Home Administrator, amongst various roles,  in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia. His reach has been far and wide as he has led teams of hundreds and oversaw long term care facilities that housed  hundreds of our seniors, who are in need of more intensive, quality care. John displayed his ability to lead and follow with familiar company names, such as Genesis Healthcare, SAVA Senior Care, and Brinton Woods (Washington, DC) to name a few. 

Many roads led to developing John into the great leader and motivator he is today. He is a Veteran who has served eight and half years in the United States Navy and traveled to many countries – Australia, Greece, Italy, France, United Kingdom, England, Germany and United Arab Emirates etc. In addition, he has fought for his country in several conflicts in the Middle East.  Early in his career, John took interest in the field of dentistry but his passion for the aging population led him on an amazing journey to serve our seniors in what can be the most vulnerable times of their lives, trusting their care to strangers. John does not back down from challenges and has transformed the most troubled facilities and teams. He lives and breathes the Navy’s motto,  “Protecting the Seas, Securing our Future,” and  applies this to making a difference in life and healthcare. 

As an Administrator, John knows the importance of family. Much of his time is devoted to oversight and management of healthcare facilities. When he is not working, his family is the center of his world. He is a self-proclaimed “Sport’s Dad.” As an Administrator, he guides, cheers, and motivates others to success. In his downtime, his biggest honor to maintain is being a good, supportive, caring DAD and family man. 

Valencia Singleton, MHA
Assistant Administrator

Valencia Singleton, MHA, has exhibited for over 20 years here dedication to laying the foundation necessary for the critical building blocks of success. As a result, Valencia has become a guiding light in the healthcare industry. For Valencia, all roads circled back to being pillars for our seniors. Her phenomenal career began in cultivating and supporting community and social programs for older adults. Her continued journey to success ranged from being Program Manager, Director of Day Health, and Assisted Living Manager. 

Valencia’s experiences through the spectrum of care that older adults need and require nicely transitioned her career focus and passion. This shift inevitably led to the current expansion of her career and studies in Gerontology. She continues to work towards becoming a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator under the leadership of John Brice. Valencia has led and managed teams of hundreds and directed as a part of upper management long term care facilities that provide specialized care to some of our most vulnerable seniors. This higher call of responsibility fits eloquently with her experience overseeing in various organizations, multiple departments. Valencia leads naturally. Her desire is to continue serving the older population, being an example to others and becoming the BEST Administrator to any employee or resident that she encounters.

Faith, Family, and Focus guide Valencia in whatever opportunity presents itself. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, in which she embodies their motto to be of “Service to All Mankind.” Valencia’s greatest loves include her husband, 3 children, and German Shepherd. She is an active and faithful member of New Life Christian Center where serves on the Praise and Worship Team or any way needed. 

Jakia Muhammad 
Professional Organizer 

Jakia is the creator and founder of SoleOrganizer, a professional organizing company, which specializes in helping the everyday person get organized. She truly believes that being organized is a lifestyle and that setting up organizational systems within your lifestyle is an enhancement. 

In addition to physically organizing spaces, Jakia likes to educate people on how to get organized through public speaking and other digital resources.
